DANCE

All dancers at Encore have regular performance opportunities as part of their training, as well as being offered Competition Team experience.
 

We are extremely proud of our dancers, who were crowned All-Ireland Champions for the third year running. 

 

Dance classes offered at Encore include:

POP TAP DANCE
A combination class studying modern jazz, theatrecraft, ballet, lyrical and tap. An extremely popular class which allows young dancers to explore different dance technique and train in core technique, producing versatile dancers with fantastic expression and musicality. IDTA Exams are available in each genre, but are not compulsory.

 

 

BALLET AND LYRICAL DANCE

For dancers who wish to specialise in classical ballet and lyrical dance styles. Many dance students train in Ballet and Lyrical as well as Pop Tap Dance. Pointe work is introduced at Senior 

Level. IDTA Ballet exams are available but not compulsory.

 

 

ACRO DANCE

A very modern approach to dance, which fuses acrobatic and gymnastic floor work with dance, which often has a theme or characterisation. IDTA Gymnastic Dance Exams are available but are not compulsory.

HIP-HOP AND STREET DANCE

 

We offer boys only hip-hop as well as mixed classes, and have opportunities for our students to join crews.
